Perhaps You Don't Recognize Us, Juggernaut Jug Band

    If you're looking for something completely different - and incredibly charming - treat yourself to a dose of Louisville's Juggernaut Jug Band.  The band is a classic throwback, employing jug, washboard, noseflute, washtub bass, kazoo, and other off-the-wall instruments to create a down-home sound that's impossible not to like.  The band plays a mixture of originals ("It's Like I'm Pyschic"), traditionals ("Don't Get Around Much Anymore"), and interesting covers (Led Zep's "Black Dog").  They sound like an ultra-hip Statler Brothers, and approach their music with country grace and a walloping sense of humor.  You may think of a jug band as a novelty, but these guys take their fun seriously.  And it's infectious. - Kory Wilcoxson
